Mother Root Mezcalixta

INGREDIENTS - SERVES ONE

25ml Ginger Switchel

25ml Mezcal or Tequila (optional)

60ml still mineral water

60g roughly chopped fresh mango (about ¼). Make sure it’s extra ripe, fragrant and soft.

5g fresh basil leaves

5 fresh kaffir lime leaves

1 tsp lemon juice

GARNISH

2 fresh basil leaves 1 slim lemon wheel

HOW TO MAKE IT

Add all the ingredients to a large jar or cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Leave to infuse for at least 15 minutes, or up to two hours.

Fill a glass with plenty of ice. Strain the cocktail through a sieve into the glass. Garnish with the basil leaves and lemon slice. Start sipping.
